Winning Strategy for 2014

Introduction
       The testimony of People’s life every year has different varieties of Adjective
       Some live the :
       Bad Life: Not functioning well, poor quality, distressing, ill – Bartimaeus, Lame Man at d Beautiful Gate
       Evil Life: devilish, harmful, misfortune, producing sorrow: Jabez, Mad man of Gadarine
       Hard Life: full of struggle, difficult, more input than output: David, Jephetha
       Few live the Good Life: high quality, honorable, pleasant and enviable life
Strategy comes in 4 Paths
  1. Verbal Strategy
  2. Action Strategy
  3. Spiritual/Unseen Strategy
  4. Attitudinal Strategy
Introduction
       Your Attitude Determines your Altitude - Prov. 23:7a
       Attitude is a visible fact you cannot hide your attitude forever.
       It is not what you do, but HOW you do it that matters.
       Num_14:24  But because my servant Caleb has a different attitude and has remained loyal to me, I will bring him into the land which he explored, and his descendants will possess the land GNB
What is Attitude?
       Your attitude is the outward expression of your emotional disposition toward just about everything
        A person's perspective toward a specified target and way of saying and doing things
       An attitude can be defined as a positive or negative evaluation of people, objects, event, activities, ideas, or just about anything in your environment
       A way of thinking about something/somebody
       A way of behaving towards something/somebody
       A position of the body; demeanor, outlook or disposition
       In scripture represented by the word spirit - Eph. 4:23
       In Latin the word "Aptitudo" = Suitability

Facts About Attitudes
  1. Our attitude can be positive or negative
  2. It is not a reflex action
  3. It is not a permanent trait
  4. It can be controlled
  5. It can be learned and unlearned
  6. We can choose to alter or change our attitude
  7. It’s a matter of choice
  8. As a wise coach once said, “Attitudes are contagious – is yours worth catching?”
  9. Attitude can be formed from a person's past and present
  10. Attitude is also measurable and changeable as well as influencing the person's emotion and behavior
3 Components of Attitudes
       An Emotional Component
       How the object, person, issue or event makes you feel
       A Cognitive Component
       Your thoughts and beliefs about the subject
       A Behavioral Component: 
       How the attitude influences your behavior
How Attitudes are Formed
Attitudes form directly as a result of
       Experience
       They may emerge due to direct personal experience, or they may result from observation.
        Social roles and social norms can have a strong influence on attitudes.
       Social roles relate to how people are expected to behave in a particular role or context.
       Social norms involve society's rules for what behaviors are considered appropriate.
Attitudinal Strategies
1.       The Attitude of Servitude - 1 Pet. 5:5-7; Jam. 4:6-10
              This is having a servant’s Heart - Matt. 20:26-28
              This is the spirit of humility
              Humility is the springboard to greatness
              You don’t know everything.
              "Only those who do not seek power are qualified to hold it." - Plato

2.       The Attitude of Solitude - Lk. 6:12
        This is the spirit of separation - Lk. 4:1,14ff
       God always calls us alone - Is. 51:1-2
       Being alone with God, in His presence - Jn. 10:9
       Know how to fellowship with God.
       This is the place of power.

"The man who walks with God always gets to his destination."
3.       The Attitude of Aptitude - 2 Tim. 2:15
        This is the spirit of proficiency
       Acquiring skill - Suitability
       Intelligence - speed in learning & understanding.
       It is a desire to be better.

4.       The Attitude of Fortitude - Phil. 4:13
This is the spirit of boldness - 2 Tim. 1:6-7; Rom. 8:15
God’s power is available to us - Acts. 1:8
The "I am strong" & "I am able" mentality - Amos 3:10

5. The Attitude of Magnitude/Multitude - Rom. 15:14
        This is the "spirit of significance" - Philemon 1: 6
       The "I am important" mentality - Rom. 12:3; 1 Pet. 2:9-10.
       No "small mind" mentality
       We serve a big God; we cannot afford to be small.
This gives a sense of growth, multiplication and advancement.

6. The Attitude of Promptitude - Prov. 22:29
            This is the spirit of urgency
       The spirit of diligence - Prov. 10:4
       "On time" anointing
       The spirit of the "opportunist".
       No procrastination or laziness. Sense of vigilance & alertness.

7. The Attitude of Gratitude - Ps. 92:1-2
       This is the spirit of thanksgiving - Ps. 100:4
       Acknowledging God’s goodness
       The key to enter into God’s presence
       It is the key to encounter the miraculous.

Conclusion
       Remember that our attitude reflects our suitability for a job or a position.
       As we adjust our attitude our altitude will automatically be adjusted.
        When you combine the 4 strategic pieces together, you will live the good life in 2014:

3.       Spiritual Strategy
4.       Attitudinal Strategy
