Managing attention:  from everyone, those who like you or those who don't. Every leadership position has influence (what you can do with your position) and affluence
Managing meaning: being abele to produce a vision people can see and buy into
Managing trust: being able to manage trust. It's hard to build when it's lost
Managing self: being self controlled. First a personal leader of self.

3 forms of leadership
Hierarchical or positional : weakest form, people follow because of the position. People won't follow you cos they love you. eg Pharaoh, Rehoboam, Idiami Leadership is not a title because title doesn't guarantee performance. Stop making your position your force for leadership because your position will outlast you
Personality: don't always place your gift as the value of your leadership.
nature, charisma, gifts and talent
Eg musicians, actors, writers
Knowledge driven: authority flows from one who knows, gateway to leadership is knowledge.

Knowing your tools

The anointing makes your leadership a plus
Magnifies me
Influences my skill
Multiplies my ability
It gives me access to classified information
It brings God's presence into the picture
It energizes me and makes what I do special.
